Each year, The Candied Yam invites the community to break bread with them to honor the legacy of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Monica Sparks and Jessica Ann Tyson celebrated their birthday at Heartside Park by providing over 200 meals and gifts to individuals experiencing homelessness.
In these uncertain times, The Candied Yam - Delightful Cuisine is trying to do our part in being a blessing by spreading joy and love by sharing our delicious delightful southern cuisine made with lots of love. Since March 24, 2020, we have randomly selected a person, family, group, and organizations to receive a blessing from The Candied Yam. We've even had customers join in with donations to continue our Random Yams of Kindness initiative. Those we have blessed can be found on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The Candied Yam is committed to making a difference by partnering with the community. We are proud to sponsor the young men of Tyler Elite QB Academy.
The Candied Yam has also proudly supported the following organizations:
and a magnitude of church groups and other non-profit organizations in and around Michigan.
We receive a great deal of requests for product donation and sponsorship all year. We do our best to fulfill requests in a timely manner. For consideration and to make an adequate decision please submit your request at least 90 days in advance.
